Open session - Self-tapes (30 June)

Self-tapes have become ubiquitous in both screen and stage auditions. A bit of guidance and coaching goes a long way in gaining confidence and getting to the top of the casting director’s list from an early stage. For this session, you will be asked to upload and re-learn an old self-tape (or film a new one). Toby will go through it and come up with bespoke advice and direction, helping you to discover and execute bolder choices.

After an introductory chat about the basic do’s and don’ts of self-taping, you will each have a go at performing your self-tape piece and implementing Toby’s advice, with another participant reading in.

Prep: upload 1 self-tape and script ahead of the session (this can be an old self-tape or a new one filmed for this session). Screen is preferred but stage is fine too.
